Portrait of a man of the French bourgeoisie under the reign of Louis Philippe. The portrait is dated 1831, the first year of the July Monarchy. The dress and the hairstyle of the character are typical of the time Charles X. He carries in the buttonhole a tricolor ribbon in the colours of a flag of France. He certainly played an important role in the days of July 1830 that saw the advent of the new regime.Materials
