Description
Sack back stage dress of Irena PLOTNIKOVA, dancer in Ballets Russes, for the role of the Lady in Waiting in "The Sleeping Princess" ballet, a re-edition of the "Sleeping Beauty" ballet, staged by Serge DIAGHILEV's Ballets Russes. Inspired by 18th century dress made of burnt orange satin open boned bodice, with deep V in the front, exposing an inset panel of white crepe fabric, and three quarter sleeves, adorned with white wooden beads, chiffon engageants, and gilt fringe. Large hooped skirt with a satin petticoat with turquoise medallions, and green silk hem with velvet sack-back panel on the rear.
