Description
Set of three handmade embroideries in Egyptian Style on tulle base. All three patterns consist of symmetrical and stylised sun ray and palmette motifs. The first is a semicircle palmette, flanked by trapezoids. The second is a triangle and diamond geometric motif flanked by protruding palmettes. The third is a trapezoidal border trim. These embroideries are crafted and adorned with short and long glass beads, glass rhinestones, faceted colored glass cabochons, with metal and cotton thread borders.

Inspired by the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922, in Ancient Egypt these motifs symbolize the rebirth of life and were often used to adorn clothing or accessories during the Art Deco period.
